Below, we share a compilation of the session we had with Mt. TuTu Milton on our WhatsApp platform. Read enjoy and drop your comments.
“I have been on this platform for a while and I see how much resources and knowledge we share here. In my honest opinion, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE A MEDIOCRE IN LIFE IF YOU ARE ON THIS PLATFORM
First off, I need you to understand that 100% of the World’s problem are Behavioral Problems.
Whatever situation we are facing right now in this country or in the world at large is FIRST a behavioral problem before anything else. The killing, rituals and all is a behavioral problem. Solve the challenge of dysfunctional behaviors and you have solved 100% of the world’s problems. You want to know how this works?
Here is how it works… Every BEHAVIOR established comes from the position of an INTENTION.
And once an INTENTION is set, it passes through the filters of a person’s BELIEFS VALUES AND LIFE EXPERIENCE. Once this intention has agreed with these filters, it becomes an ACTION which eventually produces the results we see…
Now, this is the structure of a behavior…If we want to solve the problem then the behavior has to be restructured.
Now mind you, I am not here to talk about the problems in Nigeria. This is an important knowledge that needs to be established.
Our daily LIFE and EXPERIENCE is a product of our BEHAVIOURS. Our behaviors are not just our attitude or the way we act but WHO WE HAVE BECOME all through the years. Who we DECIDED to be both consciously and unconsciously.
Milton Tutu,2019
Because whatever or whoever we try to be consciously, we have to be that person unconsciously FIRST.
A friend of mine, Cherry, once said that, In becoming, we must first BE and the etymology of “be” is to COME UP.
That is, before you become you must first come up to your imagination of WHAT you are and WHO you are at your core. So, imagine your highest, truest version of yourself and show up as that.
It’s a line of thinking that I deeply connect with because it takes the presence of depth in your life for you to be able to think depth. As there is no mango tree without a mango seed so there is no depth thinking without the seed of depth.
Let’s get back to re-engineering our behaviors for desired OUTPUT.
First off, I am a behavioral engineer… I study behaviors and patterns then re-engineer it to produce results for my clients….
The results you are experiencing right now is as a result of your behaviors. And all RESULTS are created…
Notice I said CREATION. Results are not gotten but they are CREATED and any result that has been created before can be RECREATED again and again if only you understand the strategy behind that result. This is what I call RESULT STRATEGY ELCITATION.
The reason why you are getting the level of the results you are getting right now is because of the level of your behavior. Now let me show you how this works.
The reason why we set goals is to get results. Yes or Yes?
The truth of this is, we get results even if we achieve our set goals or not.
You don’t believe me? Stay with me.
Let’s use a student as an example. For instance, you are a student in the University of Lagos studying business administration and you had a goal at the beginning of the semester to have an A in all your courses. You started the semester very well attending classes and doing your assignments. You even became the class rep. At the long run you got distracted by youthful exuberance and you started procrastinating your school work for Netflix consistently. At the ending of the semester you didn’t get all A’s in your courses but you had just 3A’s, 7B’s and 2C’s. Does this mean that you didn’t get results? Not at all! You got results but not the results you wanted. That’s same thing with our goals. Both Life and business. When we set goals we all get results but sometimes we don’t get the results we want. Why does this happen?
Because whatever goals we set takes the shape, behavior, self-limiting beliefs, attitudes and culture of our RESULT FUNNEL. Let me explain…
We do have rules and guidelines for this Community (DA WhatsApp group) yes or yes?
So anyone that comes into this Community has to RESPECT and OBEY the rules of the community right?
The goal RESPECTS and OBEYS the existing RULES and REGULATIONS of our RESULT FUNNELS.
Our result funnels are unconscious mental and behavioral pattern that creates the results we get (mind you, not necessarily the results we want). It’s a mental funnel that produces the results we get when we set goals.
We unconsciously model the behavior in our environment.
So whatever beliefs our parents have, they unconsciously pass it down to us.
We first inherit our parent’s beliefs and values before any other thing.
So right now, your Life is governed by your beliefs and your results cannot be better than your belief system. Your beliefs are one of the RULES and REGULATIONS in your RESULT FUNNEL. And mind you, there are two types of beliefs. Limiting beliefs and supporting beliefs. So some of your beliefs are limiting and some others are supporting. What we want to achieve in this class is to find those limiting beliefs, eradicate them and then install new supporting beliefs. Who is up for this?
Oh yes…
The gap between these two is what we want to find out right now…
See, when I facilitate or teach during my online and offline trainings, I usually don’t just drop words and theories and all…I am as practical as physics practical’s. And we are about engaging in practical’s.
PRACTICALS
Will need someone to volunteer…Before this…When I had a class like this in some other.
Community, a gentleman that volunteered healed his relationship with his parents immediately after the class…They have not been in talking terms for 10 years…After the class, he used what I shares to heal the relationship…
So who is up to volunteer?
*SOMEONE VOLUNTEERS*
Good!!
My Coach and Mentor, Innocent Usar usually says something. There is NO failure in Life only a failure to participate. So for participating, I will give you one of my books for free.
So Volunteer how are you doing today?
I am doing great sir
Milton: Awesome! Tell me, how was last year for you?
Volunteer: Hmmm, last year had its rough sides and its amazing sides I had a lot of plans I wanted to execute, some I failed woefully and some I executed
Milton: Tell me about the plans you failed woefully on and the ones you executed. Be as specific as possible.
Volunteer: I planned on graduating last year but unfortunately I failed a course in my final year which I didn’t see coming so I was told to retake the course , so I had to wait for another session … I cried all day for months , my dad was not understanding till now he already saw me as a failure.
Milton: So the goal was to graduate last year and the result is that you didn’t graduate right? We will still come back to this (Volunteers setback)…And I will show you some believes that will change your perspective drastically!
Volunteer: My business crashed because I can’t cope with the fact that I failed and people started disturbing me for NYSC posting , when are you going for service every day in church , my parent’s friends and all I was so afraid to let the cat out of the bag
Another plan was to enroll in aviation school after graduation but I couldn’t because i didn’t graduate 😥
Milton: If you are following us please pay close attention. We should know that the map is not the territory. There is no one solution to a problem especially when it comes to Behavioral Problems…Pay closely to the approach we will use to solve her challenge and you will be able to model it in your LIFE. So tell me, what’s your definition of failure?
Volunteer: When I can’t achieve my goals, when I can’t see good results
Milton: Good. What’s your definition of success?
Volunteer: The achievement of my goals
Milton: Good…Do you know that the reason why we fail in life is not because of an event that occurs that doesn’t go in line with our original goal but the meaning we attach to that event itself?
Group Participant: Please elaborate
Milton: Good…Nothing has meaning except the meaning we give to it. The meaning you gave to that event is the reason why you felt like a failure. And we are used to not giving ourselves EMPOWERING MEANINGS but DISS-FUNCTIONAL MEANINGS that makes us feel like failure. Failure is a feeling gotten from the meaning we attached to a particular event. Am I communicating?
Keyword here….
Failure is a feeling and not an event. So volunteer you felt like a failure that doesn’t mean you are one. We are not our feelings. Our feelings are feedbacks due to meaning we give to event. So Volunteer the first thing you need is to know the meaning you gave to that event..
Please can you share it with us?
Volunteer: The meaning I have to the event was failure at its peak
Milton: Why did you feel like a failure?
Volunteer: Because I haven’t experience such before and the expectations went from 100% to 10%. So your expectation wasn’t in line with what you got….
Milton: Good…What is the purpose of you going to school?
Volunteer: The purpose of me going to school is for learning, self-improvement and getting excellent results
So they are…
1. Learning 2. Self-improvement 3. Get excellent results.
Milton: Can you get all of these outside the four walls of a university?
Volunteer: Very well sir
Milton: So I ask again…Why did (do) you feel like a failure? Like I said earlier on, the map is not the territory
Volunteer: Because I couldn’t achieve my goal of graduating when my peers were graduating, a goal left unaccomplished. There is no one clear cut ways to achieving a particular objective…Most times we feel like failure because we have limited our perspective to one strategy. If you look deeper at what you have told me so far…
You will realize that your purpose here is. 1. Learn 2. Self-improvement 3. Get excellent results.
And the first goal you tried to use to achieve this purpose didn’t work so what do you think you need to do in order to achieve this purpose again? Give me 10 different options that will help you achieve this purpose.

Lessons learned:
Nothing has a meaning except the meaning you give to it. This hit me hard. I‘ll make sure I also eradicate limiting beliefs I’ve formed over the years and replace it with supporting beliefs. – Vera
I learnt that there’s more to learning and getting excellent results. I learnt that failure is a feeling and not an event. I learnt the act of strategic thinking and how it will help me prepare for the task ahead– Sandra
Thanks for this wonderful session. Just made me believe I can do more than I limit myself. There is no limit to greatness. Failure is a feeling not an event. – Sandra F
Failure is a feeling not an event. Your results cannot be greater than you belief system
These two hit me so hard. I’ve learnt not to limit myself, and a thing itself has no meaning, just the meaning you attach to it- Serah J
I learnt two things; Go after the results. There is no failure only feedback. Therefore failure has been taken from my dictionary. I thrive on for positive results 🙌- Jemima
My major lesson is: Have a defined goal/result you want to achieve, but don’t limit your perspective to one strategy. If one fails, get other options that will enable you meet that goal. Result is the koko!- Esther O
I learned that failure is not an event but a feeling.
Over the past 2 years, I tried a couple of things that failed, and it’s left me very afraid to take on new projects (I’d rather hide in someone else’s shadow). But today I look back, and find that though the projects didn’t work out like I planned, I didn’t fail,
because: I met the objectives I set. The experiences have shaped me into a person better equipped to take on even bigger projects …and win! 😊- Ife
