Hey there! This is a merry post! Can you still feel the excitement air? Because I can. I am totally not over the holiday season. That time of the year where you let your hair down, prop your feet up and allow yourself be consumed by the serenity that accompanies the season. It is a season of love, gratitude, forgiveness and most importantly, sharing and receiving.
2018 was an amazing year for me and I trust you felt the same way. It was for me a year of immense growth. Things don’t always turn out the way we’ve planned, yes, but you gotta trust the process and believe.
As we draw the curtains on 2018, let’s take a time out to reflect on the happenings of the year, its pros and cons. Let’s show gratitude to the Almighty for the ultimate gift, the gift of LIFE. Let’s not forget the gift of family and loved ones. Pick up your phone and dial those numbers, the same ones you just scroll through on a normal day. Call them up and relive those happy memories.
Let me give you a little gist; so my sister called an old friend of hers, and I swear, you could just hear the excitement and gratitude on the other end of the line. She was genuinely happy, and they both promised to keep in touch constantly. Rekindle old friendship. You never know, it could be the last opportunity either of you may have.
And now 2019 (drum roll)
So I concluded my university education earlier this year (this baby girl is a B.sc holder). And so for 2019, I cannot wait to start making the big bucks (which is funny, since I do not have a job, yet) .
But hey, from the first few days in January, which I like to consider my lucky month (I’m sure you have an idea why), I want to attend more trainings, which has been made easy already, thanks to Developing Afrika. I want to improve on my skills and just grow! I want to dress up more, go out more, and build new connections (not abandoning previous ones).
Oh, I also want to lose belly fat, drink more water, avoid cake and sugar (to an extent), and stay faithful to my beauty routine. This 2019, we are GROWing and GLOWing baby!
The world is yours for the taking, go get it!
From all of us at Developing Afrika, we wish you a happy new year!
Please share with us a few cultures you plan to imbibe this year.
