Under the moonlight, I recall our Grandpa,
how weird winds ransacked our standing roof
deep down hills and valleys, into seas
and our children, raging rifles raid
till our warriors mellow low
how dear fatherland wallow
in fallow
Atop rarely prevailing African hoof,
waging rafters lay bay to raw climatic rude
modern ills infect our soil with crushing decoy
till their ill permeate homestead, race and culture
Ill-winds raze wailing huts nude like the Sahara rude
Beneath the blazing sun, I recall our palaces,
Afri-roots reach deepest depths in places
Our rich cultural heritage hallow nature
All sons and daughters of Mama-Africa,
talents in diaspora, unite in bravery
believe and live our beauty of unity
in diverse colors and cultures converge
legends and heroes hallo, in developing Africa.
No more shall our children pant in slavery like rivalry
never shall the widow sow and chant sorrow
let no Africa cry loss nor say low
