-Ejimi Adegbeye (Finance Coach)
If it was to be asked of you to define money, I wouldn’t be surprised if the economists definitions taught in school would most likely be your answer.
While this is true in its theoretical sense, money carries a deeper meaning. Amongst other lessons the event of past year taught us, ‘to think without the box’ is one that wouldn’t be forgotten soon. Still in the thought of that, here are four facts about Money you probably didn’t know:
1. A reward for demonstrating Mastery:
Men of mastery – who have become the face of their sector and are exceptionally good at it don’t labour to get money instead People sought them out for their efficiency and they in turn are rewarded.
One of the ways to overcome monetary dryness is to develop capacity in an area you exceptionally, enjoyably and effortlessly function.
2. A reward for solving specific problems:
Problem solving capacity attracts monetary value.
Everyone is a contributor to the society’s problem. The fact that you have to eat to get strength is a problem you’ve created for food providers to solve.
‘If the quality of solution you offer is greater than the problems you created, you can never be poor’

3. Money is a Tribute
Money is a Tribute paid to a king or a ruler of a kingdom.
Yes, you’re not from a royal family but a king in this context is someone who’s found a path, conquered its hurdles and also showed others how to successfully walk that same path.
Hence, be intentional about impact. If you have gained mastery in a field, take a step further to show others that part. With that, you are growing a community that can reproduce itself.
And yes, ‘Appreciation’ is the tribute paid to a pathfinder.
4. Compensation for relationships:
