My name is Igbeka Rhoda Chekwubechukwu. The 5th of April is a very special day for me as I get to celebrate with friends and family. I am particularly excited about this upcoming birthday *Wink
I’m the last amongst four children, a boy, the eldest and three girls. I am an aspirant of Delta State University where I’m praying to study Medicine and surgery. I have had a lot of people tell me not to study for my parents but I should do what I love.
To be honest, I believe they do not know what I feel and medicine is not a course of age- your age doesn’t matter when you’re studying. I am slim & slender with a height of 5’9. I love my height. I am often called strict but I believe some rules should be followed when doing things. I had a very unique childhood because I didn’t follow kids my age to play. At age two, I demanded they call me ‘Aunty Rhoda’ LOL. I was always involved in adult activities because I lived with grown ups. I had a student living at our boys quarters always tell me moonlight tales, also taught me medical terms. I believe my growing up with adults affected every part of my life, I had crushes on older boys, had older friends, had grown up conversations and people hardly believed my age.
My worst experience was getting beat for what wasn’t my fault but it helped me find my words with a pen.
My best moment was discovering a friend, a father, my comforter, my healer and best friend. I repented at 16 and loved every moment even when it wasn’t easy. Lastly, I’m extremely grateful to be among this crew and be a content creator, this is worth it. Africa will definitely be great again. I have never regretted my decision and I don’t think I will, EVER!.
