Social media has provided a platform to share and to receive. A platform where you can meet
people that would have been difficult to meet physically.
Social media, a hub for many things. A place that harbor’s people with different agendas.
The striking thing however is that people who meet on social media are quick to pick quarrels, insult others or instigate commotion.
Another surprising thing is that people who are yet to meet each other are very willing to curse
each other out on a platform they could use for other things without really knowing the other
person fully with each person willing to fight tooth and nail until they succeed or lose.
You can call this “The battle of words”.
Sadly, this trend has caused some people their jobs, opportunities or the credibility of
their businesses.
Today, I want to encourage you; When you pick up your phones and you want to engage in an online matter, it is wise for you to think about how your actions would likely affect you or your business in the present or in the future.
The person you are preparing to insult or respond negatively to may be your future boss,
business partner, relationship partner, or related to somebody that may be your relationship
partner.
This person could be the cousin of the friend of the boss you may work for.
You really can never underestimate how this connection thing works.
Instead of fighting someone you do not know or may not meet, why don’t you think ahead.
Social media is good enough to act as a business or educational portfolio. You can also meet
genuine people who would turn out to be friends.
Again, next time you want to respond or instigate a quarrel, think of the above that has been
mentioned.
